Man accused of sexually assaulting women he lured to Downsview with a job offer

A 39-year-old man is accused of sexually assaulting two women who responded to a job offer in Downsview last week.

Toronto Police say the women came forward on Wednesday alleging they were sexually assaulted a day earlier in the area of Keele St. and Wilson Ave. by a man who contacted them about “an employment opportunity.”

The women met the man and were allegedly “transported in a vehicle to the location of the job,” Det. Stephen Yung said in a statement released Saturday.

Once at the location, he said the women claim they were “both sexually assaulted” by the man.

Investigators subsequently identified a suspect and arrested him on Friday.

Rafael Martinez Moreno, of Toronto, is charged with three counts of sexual assault, forcible confinement, assault, and two counts of disobeying a court order.

Investigators have released an image of the accused out of concern for the possibility of other alleged victims.
