Man, 35, charged in deadly south Etobicoke stabbing
The slaying is the city's 60th murder of the year

A 35-year-old man faces a murder rap following an altercation this week in south Etobicoke that left another man dead.
Toronto Police announced the arrest and charge late Friday night.
According to police, officers responded to a call shortly after 6 a.m. on Thursday in the Lake Shore Blvd. and Islington Ave. area.
Police say there was an altercation between a group of people outside and one man was found with injuries.
The victim was transported to hospital, reportedly suffering from life-threatening stabbing injuries, and later died.
The slain man, identified as 36-year-old Jesse Christian Halvorsen of Toronto, is the city’s 60th murder victim of the year.
Police said a second man who was injured fled the area.

On Friday, cops said the suspect was located and received medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Shawn Downs-Abbott, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
