“My son just came to get a tap water and they charged him six bucks for tap water in a cup,” he said.

Naturally, the man approached the employee to confirm whether he charged his eight-year-old son $6 for a cup of tap water.

“They said, ‘Yeah, we’ll refund you,’ so they refunded me and took back the cup of tap water,” he laughed and shook his head in disbelief.

We reached out to Canada’s Wonderland but did not hear back in time of publication.

Some people pointed out that visitors can bring their own bottles and there are plenty of water fountains and refillable stations around the park.

However, most users were outraged with some calling the park employee’s actions “shameful,” given that Wonderland isn’t exactly noted for being a cheap destination for a day out.

“By law, they can’t refuse to give someone water in a cup,” one person wrote.

A second commenter seethed, “Whoever charged the kid lacks so much moral decency, it’s the power trip of people who want to feel like they’re finally in charge of something in their life.

One user joked, “They are going to charge for air real soon,” to which another replied, “They do, it’s called carbon tax.”
