CRIME SCENE: Man critically injured in Kensington Market stabbing

A man in his 40s was rushed to a hospital after a stabbing in Kensington Market.
Toronto Police said officers descended on the Bellevue Ave.-Denison Square area around 5 a.m. on Sunday where they found a wounded stabbing victim.

They described his condition as critical, adding emergency personnel rushed him to a hospital for treatment.
CP 24 reported that police described the stabbing as “unprovoked but targeted,” and that officers had arrested a 38-year-old suspect. There was no word on charges.
Male in life-threatening condition after Saturday night shooting in Toronto
Toronto police say one person is in life-threatening condition after a shooting in the city’s downtown on Saturday night.
Police say they responded to gunshots shortly after 10:30 p.m. in the John-Adelaide Sts. area.
They say a male victim was found shot and was taken to hospital.
Police say the suspects initially fled in a vehicle, but three people have since been arrested.

One dead, six injured after two-vehicle crash in Vaughan
Police say a 69-year-old woman is dead and six other people are injured after a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Vaughan.
York Regional Police say the crash happened at around 11 p.m. at Hwy. 27 and Rutherford Rd.
One of the vehicles was on fire when emergency crews arrived, but all occupants had made it out, police say.
Police say the six injured passengers were transported to local hospitals.
