Man dies after daylight stabbing in downtown area

A man is dead after a daylight stabbing in downtown Toronto on Monday.

Toronto Police officers, who were called to Yonge and Charles Sts. around 4:15 p.m., found a critically wounded stabbing victim in a laneway.

The victim was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. However, police said later he died in hospital.

Officers are looking for a suspect described as a black male, 6-foot, and wearing blue jeans, a grey windbreaker, and dark shoes.
