Toronto Police say Kalib Dufty, who cops also had to track down in 2022, was last seen in the area of Coxwell and Mortimer Aves. – where Michael Garron Hospital is located – around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Dufty was 23 years old when he was charged with second-degree murder after a 58-year-old man was stabbed to death in a basement apartment at 1678 Kingston Rd., near Birchmount Rd., on April 30, 2013.
The victim’s name was not released at the time.
Dufty was found not criminally responsible (NCR) for the killing on April 24, 2017.
“He is currently bound by a Form 49 Warrant of Committal and Disposition of Detention,” Const. Laura Brabant said Wednesday, explaining Dufty was committed to the custody of a provincial psychiatric hospital.

The elopee is described as 5-foot-8, with a slim to medium build, and long, greying brown hair. He was last seen wearing a grey T-shirt, black jacket, black pants, and white shoes.
