Vehicle sought in deadly shooting in Mandarin Restaurant parking lot in Burlington

Investigators believe the victim, a man in his 50s, was targeted

The hunt is on for a killer and their vehicle after a “targeted” shooting in Burlington on Tuesday evening.

Halton Regional Police say officers responded to the shooting in the parking lot of the Mandarin Restaurant at 1881 Fairview St. around 8:30 p.m.

A wounded man in his 50s was transported to hospital, where he died. His name has not been released.

In a post on X, police said “investigators believe this was a targeted incident and there is no known risk to public safety.”

Police released an image of a vehicle of interest and are looking to identify the occupants. The car is described as a grey, newer-model Honda Civic with dark tinted windows and black alloy rims.
