Toronto Police say officers responded to a call for the sound of gunshots in the area of John St. and Adelaide St. W. just after 10:30 p.m. last Saturday and found a man who had been shot.
Upon further investigation, police say it was determined that the victim was also inadvertently struck by an uninvolved vehicle that was attempting to flee the scene of the shooting.
That incident is being investigated by Traffic Services and no charges have been laid in relation to that vehicle.
