Cops further allege, as the child was using the facilities, the suspect stood beside them and watched them for a period of time but immediately fled when the parent noticed what was happening.

The child was not injured.

Police say video surveillance outside the washroom area showed the same suspect sitting on the ground with his cell phone plugged into the wall and allege he followed three other children, who were in the company of a parent, into the washroom.

Investigators believe these victims were unaware they were followed.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, 20 to 25 years old. He was last seen wearing a green-and-black jacket, blue t-shirt and black pants, and carrying a black backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7441. Anonymous tips can be made by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or online at 1800222tips.com.
