Man sought in Toronto parking enforcement officer attack

Investigators need help identifying a man who attacked a parking enforcement officer in the city’s west end earlier this month.

Toronto Police say the assault occurred in the area of College St. and Dovercourt Rd. around 7:45 p.m. on March 14.

“It is alleged that the victim, a parking enforcement officer (PEO), was conducting enforcement in the area,” Const. Sinderela Chung said in a statement Wednesday.

A man who was walking eastbound approached the PEO from the sidewalk and assaulted him, she said, adding the assailant then took off westbound.

Investigators have now released an image of a suspect hoping members of the public recognize him and come forward.

The man was wearing a dark-coloured, long-sleeve shirt, light-coloured pants and brown shoes.
