Man stabbed in abdomen, cops take one into custody

Toronto Police were investigating two separate stabbings Sunday, including one that sent a victim to hospital with a wound to the abdomen.
Officers were called Sunday at 6:40 a.m. to the College St.-Augusta Ave. area for reports of a man stabbed in the abdomen.
The victim was taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
One person was taken into custody. There was no word on charges.
In a separate incident on Saturday night, a woman in her 50s was stabbed in the Front-John Sts. area.
She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after officers arrived at the scene around 11:20 p.m.
A 26-year-old man arrested, but there was no word on charges.
