Man wounded in Mississauga shooting

A man was shot Saturday afternoon in Mississauga, but he’s expected to survive.
Peel Regional Police say officers responded to the shooting in the area of Dixie Rd. and Eglinton Ave. E. shortly before 1 p.m.

A victim was located and was taken to hospital. His injury is reportedly serious but not considered life-threatening.
No arrests have been made and no suspect was immediately released.
The investigation is ongoing.
