Man's death deemed homicide after autopsy, Hamilton Police say

Hamilton Police have deemed a man’s death on Saturday as a homicide following an autopsy.

Hamilton paramedics received a medical incident call Saturday at 9:30 p.m. at 36 Queen St. S. and found David Fugler, 46, unconscious in his room. He was taken to a hospital and died the next day.

The coroner’s office performed an autopsy on Monday and ruled the death a homicide.

Fugler’s family has been informed about the investigation and are asking for privacy.

No arrests have been made.

Police said no firearms were involved in the case, but did not reveal a cause of death.

Fugler was not known to police and the investigation is ongoing.
