Two masked thugs entered a residence on Boxwood Cres., south of 14th Ave., around 1:50 p.m. and shot a man in what officers are calling a suspected home invasion, said York Regional Police Const. Andy Pattenden.
Police responded to “a report for a person that was shot,” Pattenden added. “He remains in life-threatening condition. We do believe it was a home invasion that occurred.”
The gunmen fled in a dark-coloured vehicle, according to police.

Jude Gnanendran, who lives across the street from the targeted home, said after returning from work, he saw police cars on his street.
“The police came up and asked if they could check my [house] cameras,” said Gnanendran. “This is really a shock for me.
