Police noted “a number of people were living in and around the vicinity.”

Preliminary findings after an autopsy “raised the possibility the death may be suspicious” and the full autopsy report confirmed Parrish did not die from natural causes. Police did not release a cause of death.

After numerous interviews with witnesses and search warrants being executed, cops arrested 39-year-old Brent LeFrancois of Hamilton and charged him with second-degree murder and indignity to a body.

Police have not confirmed how the two men knew each other or their association with the property where the body was found.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Lindsay Filice at 905-546-2288 or to anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
