King of Kings Bakery, located at 248 Eddystone Ave., received 18 infractions in total — four crucial, eight significant, five minor ones and one in the “other” category.
While it has freshly baked items, King of Kings is also known for its hot table serving up fried fish and turkey.
The store, which remains open, received a conditional pass on March 7, according to Toronto Public Health, and had previously passed with no or minor infractions.
Its four crucial violations were failing to ensure food handlers washed their hands as necessary to prevent contamination of food as well as failing to protect food from contamination or adulteration.
Also, the store maintained potentially hazardous foods at internal temperature between 4C and 60C, while also allowing for the “contamination of single-service articles.”
