Pedestrian killed in two-vehicle Junction collision ID'd as 46-year-old woman

Cops are seeking security or dash camera footage

Toronto Police say the pedestrian killed when two vehicles collided in the Junction on Monday evening was a 46-year-old woman.

At 8:06 p.m., emergency crews were called to Pacific Ave. and Annette St., in the High Park Ave. and Dundas St. W. area, for a collision involving two pedestrians and two vehicles.

A 57-year-old man was driving a blue 2024 Hyundai Elantra northbound on Pacific Ave. while a 34-year-old woman was driving a grey 2017 Hyundai Tucson westbound on Annette St.

According to cops, the Elantra struck the Tucson, causing it to go onto the northwest corner of the intersection and strike two pedestrians.

The woman pedestrian died at the scene while the 50-year-old man was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The Tucson driver also received minor injuries and was taken to hospital, police said in a release Tuesday.

The investigation is ongoing and cops are seeking security or dash camera footage of the area or incident.
