Peel Regional Police are reminding residents of an ongoing scam targeting concertgoers as Taylor Swift prepares to perform six shows at Rogers Centre in Toronto starting Thursday.

Cops said the scam involves a false sense of urgency to purchase discounted concert tickets. Anyone looking into buying tickets should research where they’re purchasing tickets from, police said.
Authorities remind people always to use a ‘verified’ resale ticket website, never answer random texts or social media advertising posts for ticket resale, plan accordingly as pressure from friends or family can only add to the ‘urgency’ to purchase bogus tickets, download tickets to your Apple wallet immediately, meet in person to conduct the transaction at Peel Regional Police ‘Buy and Sell Zones’ in its parking lots and, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
