It received a conditional pass on Wednesday for 11 infractions — three crucial, five significant and three minor violations, according to Toronto Public Health, and remains open to the public.

The eatery passed its four previous inspections with either minor or no infractions.

The three crucial infractions were failing to ensure food handlers washed their hands as necessary to prevent contamination of food, failing to protect food from contamination or adulteration, and maintaining potentially hazardous foods at internal temperature between 4C and 60C.

The Cheesecake Factory’s five significant violations involved utensils being used that were “not of readily cleanable form,” using equipment not free from cracks in contact with food and using food equipment not of sound and tight construction.

It also failed to provide a thermometer in its refrigeration equipment and did not maintain hand-washing stations with soap and paper towels, health inspectors determined.

As for the minor infractions, the restaurant failed to ensure equipment surfaces were sanitized as necessary, while the floors in the food-handling room were neither clean nor were they in good repair.
