A ride-share driver is accused of sexually assaulting a customer in Toronto’s Midtown area earlier this month.
And Toronto Police say they are concerned about the possibility of other alleged victims.
According to police, sometime after midnight on Aug. 9 in the Yonge St. and Eglinton Ave. W. area, the accused was hired by the victim and her friend through a ride share platform.
After dropping the friend off, the accused offered to drive the victim home for free, police allege.
During the ride, cops claim the accused sexually assaulted the victim prior to dropping her off.
The victim was not injured, police said.
On Aug. 13, police arrested and charged Nishu Bansal, 28, of Brampton, with sexual assault.
