“We’re actually forecasting for highs around 25C in Toronto for the start of this week; the normal high for this time of year is 18C,” Geoff Coulson, a meteorologist with Environment Canada, told The Toronto Sun.
“That’s close to record highs, but the record temperatures are a few degrees still warmer than that.”
Environment Canada’s forecast calls for highs of 27C on Monday, 29C on Tuesday and 26C on Wednesday. The humidex will make it feel hotter.
Temperatures cool and there’s a chance of showers later in the week.
“For the month of October, we’re expecting overall above-normal temperatures,” added Coulson.
