Scarborough shooting victim identified

Police have identified the victim in Thursday’s deadly shooting in Scarborough as Adam Christopher Moncrieffe, 34, of Toronto.

Toronto Police said officers responded shortly after midnight on Thursday to the Eglinton Ave. E.-Markham Rd. area for reports of a shooting.

Officers found “a male victim” and performed lifesaving measures.

The victim was transported by emergency run to a hospital, where he died.

On Thursday night, police said the victim was walking in the area when he was shot by suspects who were travelling in a vehicle.

The Toronto Police homicide unit is investigating the city’s 83rd homicide of the year.
