Hours later, neighbours headed to work or walking their dogs told the Sun they heard four or more gunshots. The remnants of large bloodstains could be seen on the sidewalk outside the highrises at 10 and 30 Gordonridge Place.

One woman, who did not want to be identified, said she looked out from her son’s bedroom window and saw people running through the parking lot after hearing the shots.

“I looked out my son’s window and saw this gentleman fall flat on his face in the roadway beside the (underground) garage,” she said.

“My nerves are shot. I’m tired of it all, tired of all the gun stuff,” the woman added.

It is the second shooting at the apartment complex this month, with the first one taking place on Aug. 5 inside one of the buildings mid-afternoon at 2:45 p.m.

A 20-year-old man was shot in that instance and transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was described as a Black man, 5-foot-10 with a slim build, and wearing dark clothing.

A young girl named Tyra walking her dog said she heard maybe four gunshots.

“I looked off the balcony and saw one guy running and his friends told him to ‘get up,’” said Tyra, who saw the victim fall.

“The two other guys were holding him and he fell again right here,” she said at the rear of 10 Gordonridge Place.

Other neighbours said the entire parking lot area was cordoned off by police and they had to wait until morning to drive their vehicles back in the lot.

Around 9 a.m. Monday, a Toronto Police tow truck showed up to remove a grey Ford Taurus X wagon that had police seals on all its doors.

Police are looking for two males wearing all dark clothing who fled the seen after the shooting.
