Investigators need help tracking down the family of an elderly woman found “disoriented” at a bus stop in Vaughan early Wednesday.
York Regional Police say transit officers contacted police after finding the senior citizen waiting at a bus stop in the area of Hwy. 7 W. and Millway Ave. – just west of Jane St. – around 3:30 a.m.
“The woman appeared disoriented and was unable to provide her home address,” Const. Lisa Moskaluk said in a statement.
She said the woman has identified herself as 82-year-old Wai Lai Wong.

“While she is currently safe and receiving care at a local hospital, officers have been unable to confirm her identity, determine her place of residence or locate any family members,” Moskaluk said.
Police have released a photo of the woman hoping someone recognizes her and comes forward.
She’s described as Asian with a thin build and short brown hair.
Anyone with information regarding Wong is urged to call police at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7441, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
