Suspects sought for criminal acts at protests in Peel

Police in Peel Region are seeking help to identify suspects following violence and other incidents at a temple and mall last month.

Cops allege several offences occurred in November during and after protests at a mandir on The Gore Rd. in Brampton as well as related incidents at the Westwood Mall in Mississauga.

A Strategic Investigative Team was formed to investigate the incidents, police said.

Investigators released a total of 11 images of the suspects and people of interest who are accused of assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, assault police officer and public incitement of hatred.

Police said investigators continue to analyze hundreds of videos of the incidents and are working to identify additional suspects involved and anticipate more arrests.

Investigators are asking anyone with video or images of the demonstrations to submit them online using this link.

Anyone with information of the identity of the individuals are asked to contact investigators at either Mississauga’s 12 Division at 905-453-2121 extension 1233, or Brampton’s 21 Division at 905-453-2121 extension 2133.
