So far in 2021, there have been 10 homicides in Hamilton and the city is on pace to equal or surpass last year’s record-breaking murder count of 17.
Most recently, detectives arrested and charged a man and a woman in the suspicious death of a man found in a wooded area three weeks ago.
Cops found a 38-year-old deceased male on June 25 and the death was deemed suspicious. But detectives say there was an altercation between the victim and two people in the wooded area that ended in the man’s death.
Sebastian Winter, 26, and Breyanne Moreau, 23, both of Hamilton, have each been charged with second-degree murder.
