An 82-year-old woman, who was the sole occupant of an eastbound SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in a westbound SUV — a 63-year-old woman and a 68-year-old woman — were also pronounced dead, police said.
They said the 64-year-old male driver and the 70-year-old front-seat male passenger in the westbound vehicle were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The westbound SUV drifted into eastbound lanes before the collision, police said.
