Toronto man accused of kidnapping, trying to kill victim: Cops

A 33-year-old Toronto man has been charged in the alleged 2024 abduction and shooting of a victim in Mississauga last winter.

Peel Regional Police alleged a man was kidnapped in the QEW-Hurontario St. area last Mar. 10, and held at a nearby address for several hours.  He was taken to Toronto, where a gunman shot him several times.

The wounded victim was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries.

Liban Abdi Siyad has been charged with attempted murder, kidnapping and other offences.
