Toronto cops probe suspicious deaths of two men in Scarborough

Toronto Police are investigating the suspicious deaths of two men in their ’60s who were found dead at a residence in the city’s east end Wednesday night.

A Sun source confirmed the two dead are brothers and the older sibling stabbed the younger sibling to death, then took his own life.

Const. Laurie McCann said cops were called to an address near Birchmount and Chelwood Rds. in Scarborough just before 6:30 p.m.

“Police responded to a call for a wellbeing check in that area,” McCann said. “Officers located the two male deceased inside the home.”

She added: “The investigation is being led by our homicide and missing persons unit. Investigators are currently waiting on the autopsy report from the coroner’s office and until then we can’t really say much else about the deaths or otherwise. However, I can tell you there is no threat to public safety.”

McCann confirmed that the two men were aged 62 and 67 and that they both lived at the residence , however, she couldn’t confirm their relationship or their cause of death.
