Toronto to get 30-50 mm of rain between Wednesday and Thursday

Following last weekend’s ice storm threat, now comes the rain.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto, saying the city can expect 30-50 millimetres of rain to fall between Wednesday morning and Thursday morning.

The agency says the rain will begin Wednesday morning over southwestern Ontario before reaching the Golden Horseshoe in the afternoon.
It also says with thunderstorms expected, rainfall amounts may exceed 50mm in some areas, particularly southwestern Ontario.
The warning adds localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
