Three people have been charged in connection with the 2021 homicide of 24-year-old Sheydon Storer.
Hamilton Police say officers responded to a shots fired call in the area of Upper Wentworth St. and Mohawk Rd. around 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 21, 2021, and found Storer on his driveway suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead and his murder appeared to be targeted and planned.
At the time, footage from a nearby video surveillance system, which police believed captured the getaway vehicle arriving just before the murder and leaving immediately after, was released as a photo to the public.
In the fall of 2023, the Hamilton Police Homicide Unit joined with the Intelligence Unit to form Project Ohio with the sole purpose of investigating Storer’s murder.
As a result, three people have now been charged in his death.
Ahmed Issak Hussen, 23, and Kamaldeep Dhaliwal, 22, both of Hamilton, each face first-degree murder charges, while Tasnim Beauvais, 24, of Edmonton, faces accessory after the fact to murder and obstruct a peace officer charges.

“Thank you to the homicide detectives for their diligence in Sheydon’s murder investigation,” the Storer family said in a statement.
“We also want to thank the people who have come forward with any information, no matter how small, as we know these little things can make a world of difference. It’s been a long two years and nine months of not having answers but to get this confirmation has been a relief for our family and all those who loved Sheydon. Once gain, our heartfelt thanks to all everyone who helped to get these people arrested and charged.”
