Toronto Police say Drug Squad officers – with assistance from the Emergency Task Force – executed a search warrant in the Warden-14th Aves. area in Markham on March 5.
“It is alleged that the address was being used for the processing and packaging of cannabis, some of which was seized by the RCMP Border Integrity Unit being exported in suitcases to the United Kingdom,” Det.-Sgt. Jennifer Cash, of the Drug Squad, said in a statement released Wednesday.
“A quantity of cannabis, cannabis products and psilocybin were seized,” she alleged. “The address, or persons associated to the address, are not registered with Health Canada for the production or distribution of cannabis.”

Cash said one suspect was located inside the address when officers executed the search warrant.

Che Javier Germaine, 21, of Toronto, was arrested.
He’s charged with possession of one or more classes or more than 30g of dried cannabis, possession for the purpose of distributing cannabis, and possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Members of the Drug Squad and Emergency Task Force executed another four search warrants – in the areas of Parklawn Rd. and Lakeshore Blvd. W., and Hwy. 427 and Bloor St. W. – the following day.
“It is alleged that the addresses were identified as being associated to persons involved in the trafficking network,” Cash said.
“A quantity of drugs, drug packaging and proceeds of crime were seized at the various addresses,” she claimed, adding two suspects – a man and a woman – were also arrested.

The woman was allegedly found in possession of two loaded handguns.

Kia Walters Mclean, 23, of Toronto, is charged with firearms offences, possession of proceeds of crime under $5000, possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of cannabis for the purpose of distributing.

Stephen Samari, 35, of Toronto, is charged with two counts of knowingly distribute illicit cannabis, two counts of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, possession of proceeds of crime over $5000, and two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
