“A 10-year-old male was walking home from a friend’s residence when a dark-coloured, four-door sedan — occupied by three males — stopped alongside him,” Const. Nicholas Gluckstein said in a statement released Wednesday.

He said the males called for the youngster to come to their vehicle.

When the boy ignored them, the trio drove their vehicle onto a driveway in the victim’s path and attempted to coerce him into their car.

“The victim was able to flee on foot and return to his residence,” Gluckstein said, adding the boy was not physically injured.
