Toronto Police say officers responded to a call for fraud and mischief in the area of Danforth and Kelvin Aves. – just east of Dawes Rd. – around 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Two men “approached a homeowner advising ‘work’ needed to be done on their home,” Const. Ashley Visser said in a statement released Saturday.
She said the men then “proceeded to start working without the homeowner’s permission.”
“The homeowner confronted the suspects, and they demanded money for their work,” Visser said, explaining the homeowner told the men “they were going to call police.”
