Durham Regional Police say officers responded to the home invasion in the area of Creekview Circle and Downland Dr. – southeast of Whites Rd. and Hwy. 401 – around 5 a.m. last Saturday.
“The two suspects broke into a residence and physically assaulted the victim before taking a quantity of the victim’s property and fleeing,” police said in a statement released Wednesday.
Cops said the occupant of the home was treated at a local hospital for “minor injuries.”
A suspect vehicle was subsequently recovered outside of Durham Region, but the two home invaders have yet to be caught.
Police believe the violent robbery was “an isolated incident.”
