Two men, 19 and 20, charged in deadly Etobicoke shooting

Two men face charges for a shooting that killed a 16-year-old boy and wounded a 19-year-old man at an Etobicoke highrise a month ago.
Toronto Police say the double shooting occurred at an apartment building on Capri Rd. – near The East Mall and Rathburn Rd. – around 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 4.
“Officers arrived on scene and located two male victims,” Homicide Det.-Sgt. Amanda Thornton said in a statement released Saturday.
The victims were both transported to hospital where one succumbed to his injuries, she said.

The victim who died was later identified as Isaiah Fogah, 16, of Toronto.
The second victim, a 19-year-old man, suffered “serious injuries” but survived.
Homicide investigators subsequently identified and arrested two suspects.
Elliut Xavier Yera, 18, and Shamone Pompey-Thomas, 20, both of Toronto, are each charged with second-degree murder, attempted murder, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.
