Two sought after safe targeted in Markham home invasion

York Regional Police are looking for two men after an armed home invasion in Markham during which the intruders tried to rob a safe in the residence.
On Thursday just before 7:30 p.m., police were called to the area of Daffodil Ave. and Poinsetta Dr.

Two men — one armed with a switchblade — had broken into a home and demanded to know the location of a safe.
Attempts to restrain the pair weren’t successful and the men fled the residence.
There were no injuries.
The first wanted man is described as white, 40 to 50 years old and 5-foot-8 with dark short hair, dark eyes, a tan complexion, and possibly had a beard. He was wearing what appeared to be a scarf covering his face, black pants, black boots and black gloves.
The second man is also white, 30 to 40 years of age and 5-foot-10 and was wearing all black clothing, black gloves and armed with a switchblade.
