Two suspects charged following violent carjacking early Monday

Carjackers in a black GMC tow truck stole a vehicle after chasing down a motorist, according to Toronto Police.
A motorist and three friends were driving in the Yonge St.-Sheppard Ave. area around 2:20 a.m. Monday, when a tow truck began aggressively following the targeted vehicle, police alleged.
The driver hit several curbs while trying to flee. The motorist pulled over after damaging their vehicle, said police.
Police alleged a bandit hopped out of the tow truck, ordered the occupants out of the vehicle and drove it away.
Two suspects were charged after officers tracked down the tow truck and vehicle, said officers.
Yusif Ibrahimov, 30, of Thornhill and Seyed-Amin Ghaem-Maghami, 27, of Richmond Hill, were each charged with robbery and theft of a motor vehicle with violence. Ghaem-Maghami was also charged with failing to comply with an undertaking.
