Following a violent bank heist at an RBC Branch in Markham on Wednesday night, in which three boys — 13, 15 and 16 — were arrested, Durham Regional Police have now charged the two older boys of that trio with another violent bank robbery at Scotiabank on Kingston Rd. in Pickering on Valentine’s Day night.
The 15-year old and 16-year-old boys, both from Brampton, face new charges of robbery with firearm, wearing a disguise with intent, three counts of assault causing bodily harm, and weapons dangerous.
In the Pickering heist, two males with their faces covered and armed with guns demanded cash and pistol-whipped two bank employees and injured a third.

The bandits fled empty-handed in a vehicle and the three victims were treated in hospital for facial injuries.
In the Markham bank robbery, four people were injured after three bandits, armed with two guns (one a replica) and a knife, pulled up to the RBC on Markham Rd, north of 16th Ave., in a stolen black Chevy Impala.
Two bank employees were stabbed and two other people were kicked in the face.
A trio of suspects were tracked down by York Regional Police officers later that night after allegedly hiding in a nearby house under construction.
Durham Regional Police spokesman Dave Selby wouldn’t speculate if the accused may be involved in more bank robberies as the case is now before the courts.
However, York cops have said they seized evidence connecting the accused trio to additional robberies throughout the GTA.
