The hunt is on for two women who committed a robbery at a Leslieville store on Boxing Day.
Toronto Police say the two women entered a store near Gerrard St. E. and Pape Ave. around 10 a.m. on Thursday.
“One of the women attempted to distract the victim,” Const. Sinderela Chung said Saturday, explaining “the victim advised the woman to stop.”
She said the woman then “grabbed a bracelet from the victim’s wrist as well as a quantity of cash.”
“Both women fled the area in a dark-coloured, older-model Mercedes Benz SUV – possibly a 2010 GLE or GLS,” Chung said.
Investigators have released images of two suspects, and a suspect vehicle, hoping the public can help identify and locate them.

One woman is described as having black hair in a ponytail. She was wearing black leggings, gray and white boots, a red sweater, blue jacket, white scarf and carrying a black handbag.
The second woman is described as having black hair. She was wearing orange, white and black patterned pants, a white scarf and a dark-coloured jacket.

Anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of either suspect is urged to call police at 416-808-5500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
