Unidentified assailant sought for attacking taxi driver
Investigators have released images of a suspect hoping someone can help identify the wanted man

Investigators need help identifying a man who allegedly assaulted a cab driver a couple of weeks ago.
Toronto Police say officers responded to a call for an assault in the area of Broadview Ave. and Chester Hill Rd. – north of Danforth Ave. – around 3:40 a.m. on Nov. 30.
“It is reported that the victim provided a man with a taxi ride,” Const. Ashley Visser said in a statement released Saturday, explaining the man the “assaulted the victim.”
She said the victim suffered minor injuries.
And the assailant fled in an unknown direction.
Police have released images of a suspect hoping members of the public will recognize him and come forward to help identify him.

The suspect is described as male, six-feet-tall, with a medium build who was clean-shaven and had short, dark hair. He was wearing a black jacket and a light-coloured hooded sweater.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is urged to call police at 416-808-5500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
