Peel regional Police say they received two separate reports in early June involving an elderly man seen speaking to children and taking photographs at a park near St. Anthony Catholic Elementary School on North Park Dr. – near Bramalea Rd. and Bovaird Dr. E.
“On both occasions, the man allegedly asked the children where they lived and whether they wanted to go with him,” police said. “In one instance, the man was accompanied by an elderly woman and an adolescent girl while walking in the area of Meridian Rd.”
“The interactions made the children uncomfortable, and they reported the incidents to trusted adults,” police added.
Investigators have released an image of the man with the woman and girl hoping someone recognizes him and comes forward.

He’s described as South Asian, between 60 and 70 years old, with a thin build and a white, medium-length beard. He was wearing traditional Indian clothing (kurta pajama), a black vest, and a turquoise or green turban.
“While no criminal offences have been alleged, investigators would like to speak with the individuals involved to better understand the nature and intent of the interactions,” police explained.
Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of these individuals is urged to call police at 905-453-2121, ext. 2133, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
