CRIME SCENE: One of 2 pulled from submerged vehicle near Ashbridges Bay dies

One of the two people who were rescued from a submerged vehicle on Sunday night in the city’s east end has died.
Toronto Police said they responded to the incident at about 9:30 p.m. on Ashbridges Bay Park Rd. and found a man on top of a submerged vehicle. He said a woman was still inside.
Officers and the marine unit assisted in the rescue of the passenger and she was rushed to a hospital via an emergency run. Police on Monday said she did not survive.
The driver was also hospitalized and four police officers who assisted in the rescue were sent to hospital as well.
Police are investigating the incident.

Suspect sought in sex assault probe
Toronto Police are on the hunt for a man accused of a sexual assault.
Police said officers responded to a sexual assault call in the Bay-Front Sts. area on Friday, a day after the incident allegedly happened.
They said the victim and a man met where the victim was staying Thursday at about 8 p.m. The victim was sexually assaulted, according to police, who added the man left the area.
Police said their suspect, who speaks with an accent, is between 55 and 65 years old, is about 5-foot-9 and weighs around 250 pounds.

Victim stabbed in altercation between kin: Cops
A family dispute allegedly triggered a stabbing at a Scarborough residence Sunday morning, according to Toronto Police.
A stabbing victim was rushed to hospital with injuries that were not deemed life-threatening, police said.
Officers were called to the Warden-Danforth Aves. area around 9:45 a.m.
Police said officers received reports of an altercation between family members.
While someone was arrested, there was no immediate word on charges or how the victim and suspect are related.
