Officers located the male child who appeared to be about two or three years old and wasn’t wearing any shoes but were unable to track down his parents, police said in a news release shortly before 10 p.m. The child was uninjured and in good spirits, police said.

Police released a detailed description of the boy and appealed to anyone who might know his identity to contact them.

Police said in a release at around 1:45 a.m. Friday that the boy’s family had been located and thanked the public for sharing the information in the initial release.
