“It’s appalling,” said Insp. Rich Harris, head of the Toronto Police Hold Up Squad, following the stabbing of a 51-year-old carjacking victim on Monday.
In this case, a man was merely parking his vehicle at about 8 p.m. at Rogers Rd. and Kane Ave. when two thugs allegedly approached him for his blue, Nissan Rogue.
He tried to run away but they allegedly chased him.
“He tripped and fell,” said Harris. “He was stabbed multiple times. And when I say multiple times, I mean multiple times. It was horrific.”
It’s bloody pathetic that something like this happens in Toronto. Imagine the level of evil behind stabbing an innocent man over a car.

They stole it and left the bleeding man for dead. But good Torontonians helped the man, who was rushed to hospital, where he’s expected to recover from major injuries.
The special Carjacking Unit of Toronto Police’s Hold Up Squad got on this right away and deployed their special skills, quickly catching up with the stolen vehicle.
After recovering the car, officers determined two suspects were seeking shelter in a nearby residence.
“With the assistance of 12 and 13 Division Primary Response Units,” the suspects were placed under arrest “without incident” and the knife allegedly used in the carjacking was located.
But there’s more. There was also something familiar about this attack.
“There was a delivery driver robbed of his vehicle in a similar fashion on Sunday, March 19 at Bernard Ave. and Spadina Rd.,” said Harris. “While doing a delivery, two men tried to get in the vehicle that was running and two knives were displayed.”

The driver used his delivery bag to prevent being stabbed, but the thieves fled in his red 2012 Chevy Sonic which has still not been located. Police alleged the same suspects were responsible, contending that they may have been planning to use these cars for other planned criminal activity.
Who knows what police were able to stop here? Who knows how many people they saved from hospital or death?
Ladislav Geci, 19 and Ordayne Sinoiz, 18, are charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons charges. Geci has also been hit with a charge of breaching probation.
Welcome to Toronto, where driving your car is not safe anymore!
