Woman escapes attempted Vaughan Mills kidnapping: Cops

York Regional Police are on the hunt for suspects following an attempted kidnapping in Vaughan.
On Friday at noon, police received multiple reports of a woman being kidnapped from the parking lot of Vaughan Mills shopping centre.
Police said she was approached by four suspects, who were believed to be armed with a gun and forced her into the rear of a vehicle. The vehicle drove a short distance, but the victim managed to escape.
Police said the victim had minor injuries.
The suspects are described as Black men with thin builds, wearing all black, black medical masks and gloves. The suspect vehicle is a blue, four-door Honda Civic with the Ontario licence plate AXJN850. Police said it was stolen in Toronto on Aug. 20.
Police believe the incident was targeted and the investigation is ongoing.
