Investigators need help identifying a woman who is accused of sneaking into a change room at a downtown Toronto business to steal credit cards and other personal property from lockers.
Toronto Police say officers responded to a theft call at a business near Yonge and Grosvenor Sts. just after 5:30 p.m. on May 22.
A woman was seen entering the business and then making her way into the women’s change room, Const. Shannon Eames said in a statement Wednesday.
The woman allegedly “cut numerous locks off of lockers” and “took a number of personal items from the lockers.”

The stolen credits cards were then used to make purchases, police allege.
Investigators subsequently identified a suspect and have released security camera images of the woman hoping members of the public can help identify and locate her.

The woman, who is wanted for theft over $5,000, is described as having dark straight hair and was wearing a blue dress, white shoes and carrying a black bag at the time.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is asked to call police at 416-808-5200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
