A woman in her 30s was found suffering from stab wounds Friday night at a Scarborough motel where there has been no shortage of bloodshed over the years.
Toronto Police say officers responded to a stabbing call at the Roycroft Motel on Kingston Rd. – east of McCowan Rd. – shortly before 11 p.m. and found the woman seriously injured inside of a room.

No suspect description has been released.
The Roycroft has a history of violence that includes, most recently, a deadly shooting just over two years ago.
Shawn Walters, 39, of no fixed address, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in a motel room at 3137 Kingston Rd. on March 6, 2023.
A 35-year-old man was subsequently charged with first-degree murder, but the outcome of that charge is unknown.
Another man, in his 40s, died in a fire in his room at the Roycroft on Aug. 2, 2021.

And in August 2007, a jealous husband reportedly lashed out after catching his 22-year-old wife in bed with another man at the Roycroft.

The husband slashed the other man across the chest with a knife and then drove off with his wife in a minivan.
The woman was later found in the parking lot of her apartment building suffering from head injuries that were later determined to be caused by tumbling out of a moving vehicle.

Back in 1994, a 24-year-old woman answered her motel room door at the Roycroft and was shot as her toddler looked on.
The victim survived and later told detectives the shooter was looking for someone else.
