Police have released an image of two suspects wanted in connection with a disturbing video that shows two separate attacks on women at Wet’n’Wild Toronto.
The incidents took place on Thursday at the water park in Brampton, on Finch Ave. W., near Hwy. 427.
The 74-second clip, posted on X by the Toronto Crime Watch account, begins with screams as it pans out to one woman in a pink bikini already on the ground near the entrance to the park, being hit and kicked by a few people, including a man striking her with an unknown object.
While many people looked on, including several children, another woman in a black one-piece ran over to try to stop the attack on the defenceless woman but the group quickly turned its attention to her as she attempted to flee.
The video showed the woman being chased into a store as a worker tried to stop people from following her, but the shop was quickly swarmed. The store employee was shoved as she tried to hold people back from the woman, as they were both hit by the group.
Things eventually died down as those responsible for the violence appeared to leave the park.
However, people on social media were shocked by the turn of events.
“So, no security on the premises?” one X user asked.
Another called it an “absolutely disgrace,” then asked, “When did beating a defenseless woman become entertainment?”
Peel Regional Police told the Toronto Sun that they received a call just before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday about a “large group of people fighting near the front entrance” and “a reported altercation amongst two different groups of people.”
However, the fight had already dispersed by the time cops arrived and the victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The first suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6-foot-3, 30-35 years old, with a slim build, dark complexion and shoulder-length black dreadlocks. His tattoos include a lion on the left side of his chest and others on his right forearm and tricep.
The second suspect is described as a Black female, approximately 5-foot-6, 30-35 years old, with a medium build, dark complexion, afro-style hair and brown eyes.
