Instagram account Scarborough Spots shared the news in a video, which zoomed in on a letter from management explaining the location will officially shut down on Feb. 28 when the mall closes and pointing out two other nearby locations for those in dire need of a Big Mac, McRib or Shamrock Shake.
Customers took to the comments to share their dismay, with many reminiscing of high school lunches and how it was the place to go back in the day.

However, others pointed out that times have changed and the high school students and other unsavoury patrons of the mall now have made it a place to avoid.
“Is it because of the school fights??” one person asked, to which they received a resounding yes, and another writing, “I got a video of a fight that happened in here 2 days ago.”
Others suggested that the entire mall should be shut down.
“Cedarbroke mall just gonna have a bunch of no name stores now,” another user opined following the closures of Walmart, Goodlife Fitness and now McDonald’s.
“Whenever a McDonald’s leaves after so many years, it’s usually a sign of things to come,” one woman commented. “That’s how Malvern started.”
She was referring to Malvern Mall, which also shuttered its McDonald’s – as have the McD’s Eglinton Square and Bridlewood Mall.
No reason has been provided for the McDonald’s shutdown.
Some speculated the Cedarbrae location’s closure was due to rent hikes, while others claimed the entire mall would be torn down and replaced with condos.
